Due to the materials used in the preparation of the substrate, Izolon has high steam and waterproofing properties, does not absorb moisture and does not deteriorate from contact with the screed.
The substrate is placed under the infrared film on the entire surface of the room for thermal insulation effect and one level of floor covering. With a thickness of 4 mm, the substrate has a sufficiently strong shrinkage up to 1.5-2 mm, in contrast to the E-pex proprietary substrate, which must be taken into account when installing floor coverings.
